Description

Seal by seal, and dish by plate, we taste the most significant recipes of our geography. This time it is the turn of the octopus to feira, the mainstay of this new issue.

We see in the seal a detail of this exquisite dish, prepared according to the traditional recipe where the main ingredients are appreciated.

The octopus a feira owes its name to the fact that it was usually cooked in the cattle fairs attended by the maragatos muleteers. In them, they ate what they had most at hand: the octopus, previously dried, rehydrated and cooked, seasoned with oil and paprika. It was precisely the maragatos that marketed with olive oil and paprika, and that is why the origin of this recipe resides in Leonese lands, even Extremadura according to some, but, soon, began to be served also in Galicia. Over time, a boiled potato began to be added as a garnish, a detail in which lies the difference between the Galician octopus and the feira octopus.

What is a block sheet, and how is it different from a normal seal?

Taking into account that the normal seal has only the surface occupied by the seal, the block sheet is an illustrated surface where one or more seals can appear, so its dimension will be larger, occupying that of the seal and the rest of the sheet and, their sizes and shapes can be very varied.

A curious fact that also differentiates the seal and the block sheet, is that in the first one live characters cannot appear, but in the environment of the seal in the block sheet yes.
