A very special block leaf, with olive from Mallorca and cheese from Mahón, two products with Protected Designation of Origin of the Balearic Islands.
Continuing with the series of stamps dedicated to Gastronomy, in Correos we make a delicious tour of the Spanish geography, highlighting products with Protected Designation of Origin. In 2021 we have issued two stamps dedicated to the gastronomy of the Balearic Islands, with two of its products distinguished with this denomination.
One of them is the exquisite olive or Olive of Mallorca, in three varieties: green, broken green and natural black. The second includes another of the most representative and delicious products of the islands: Mahón Cheese, from Mnorca.

What is a block sheet, and how is it different from a normal seal?
Taking into account that the normal seal has only the surface occupied by the seal, the block sheet is an illustrated surface where one or more seals can appear, so its dimension will be larger, occupying that of the seal and the rest of the sheet and, their sizes and shapes can be very varied.
A curious fact that also differentiates the seal and the block sheet, is that in the first one live characters cannot appear, but in the environment of the seal in the block sheet yes.
How many stamps are on this block sheet?
This block sheet has two horizontal stamps with a postal value of € 3.00 each; in one the olives or olives of Mallorca are illustrated, and in the other an image of the famous Mahón cheese of Menorca.
