Description

Postage stamp that honors the greatest women in Spanish sport, participants and medal winners in the Olympic Games.

Belonging to the series "Women in Sport. Olympics", this block sheet collects the exploits of these women.

Blanca Fernández Ocha was the first Spanish woman to win an Olympic medal. Blanca won the bronze medal in the slalom event at the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics. In addition, the block sheet has as protagonists two other great athletes, Lilí Álvarez and Margot Moles, Spanish women pioneers in an Olympics.

Although Blanca left us too soon, her big smile, which she wore in competitions and in life, will always remain in the collective memory. The block sheet reflects the moment when the skier put the medal to her mouth to kiss her and celebrate her victory.

What is a block sheet, and how is it different from a normal seal?

Taking into account that the normal seal has only the surface occupied by the seal, the block sheet is an illustrated surface where one or more seals can appear, so its dimension will be larger, occupying that of the seal and the rest of the sheet and, their sizes and shapes can be very varied.

A curious fact that also differentiates the seal and the block sheet, is that in the first one live characters cannot appear, but in the environment of the seal in the block sheet yes.
