It has been so great, so significant for the culture and art of our country, that the Royal Spanish Academy of Language includes in its Dictionary of the Spanish Language, the adjective Berlanguian:

“1. adj. Belonging to or relating to Luis García Berlanga, Spanish filmmaker, or his work. Berlanguian studies.

2. adj. It has characteristic features of the work of Luis García Berlanga. A Berlanguian situation."
