Joseph Pennell bornó in Philadelphia on July 4, 1857, where he studiedó Marchó to Europe later, settlingéndose in London, being a professor at the Slade School of Art.
I know mainly for his lithographs and engravings and for his numerous illustrations for books.
Recibió gold medals for his work at the Universal Exhibitions of París in 1900 and St. Louis in 1904.
We have collected some of his work on New York for these portraits of cities.
Joseph Pennell diedó in his hometown on April 23, 1926.
